I've been eyeing this place for a month or so. Ran across it while doing a photo shoot back in August. But barbecue joints seem to have strange hours. They're usually closed on Sundays, don't stay open past 8 pm, and take off major holidays. How dare them!
Even though these guys close Sunday and Monday, I was delighted to find they were open today, Labor Day, from 11am to 4pm. Huh? I'll take it! The wife and I made the trek to the south side of downtown. This is part of that area they are trying to revitalize. Stick many more establishments like this in the area and I'll be spending more time (and money) down there for sure!
Great ribs, great brisket, great sides, and the family that runs this joint are a delight to deal with.
